The company's founder and President, Freddi M. Abatti, is a second generation farmer in the Imperial Valley, California. Originally from Italy, the Abatti patriarch, Bautista, immigrated in the 1920's by way of Argentina to establish roots in the United States.  In the late 1920's, the Abatti matriarch, Antonia, joined Bautista with their son to begin to grow their roots with a dairy farm in Holtville, CA.  Freddi's mother, Rosangela Freddi Abatti, came from Italy to the United States in 1956 on the Andrea Doria, an Italian ocean liner, which sunk off the coast of Nantucket Island, New York. She was one of the last survivors. The combination of the strength and endurance of both the Freddi and the Abatti families contributed to form the strong work ethics and culture that continues to hold true and is infused into every aspect of the daily Freddi M. Abatti Companies' operations.

Today, the Freddi M. Abatti Companies' emphasis is farming a variety of forage and seed crops for both domestic and export markets.  The support and sage advice from Freddi's mother and sister, Alice, encouraged and enabled him to become a successful farmer and agribusiness man.  In addition, the patience and sacrifice given by his immediate family, Tammy, Bella, and Chiara has allowed Freddi to devote his mind and energy on his business.

Furthermore, the pioneer stock farmers, banker, pest control advisor who gave Freddi an opportunity to succeed contributed to his growth and success.  Some of them being: Thelma, Gib, and Elmer House, Paul Cameron, Bill Young, Charlie Bowles, Phil Rutherford, Stan Mitosinka, Raymond Reidy, Don Glud, Steve Finnell, and Jack Strobel, Jr.

Freddi Abatti Companies' roots are very well established and run deep to continue to produce quality seed and safe feed for the domestic and export markets.
